Fast ForWord®, is a state-of-the-art CD-ROM based training program. It is a revolutionary way for building language learning skills including a student’s ability to listen, speak and read.

Based on more than 30 years of neuroscience research, Scientific Learning’s Fast ForWord® family of products use patented technology to target the language and reading skills widely recognized as the keys to all learning. Each product’s interactive exercises integrate proprietary CD-ROM and Internet technology to create an optimal learning environment that adapts to the level of each student. Patented Web-based tracking tools provide ongoing monitoring of each student’s progress.

Fast ForWord® Language software is an Internet and CD-ROM product that develops the fundamental language skills that are the building blocks for reading success.

Fast ForWord® Language to Reading software, designed to rapidly build the skills critical for learning to read or become a better reader, was released in 1998. In 2007, the Company introduced Fast ForWord® Literacy and Advanced Literacy software, designed for the middle and high school students and adults to reinforce and strengthen basic language skills and develop critical reading skills.

In 2000, the Company introduced Fast ForWord® Reading software, a flexible product that is designed to build reading skills and is correlated to curriculum standards.

Based upon a pre-test, students use one of the following intensive software products for 2 hours per day: Fast ForWord® Language, Fast ForWord to Literacy, Language to Reading, Reading Series 1-5. The professional staff includes certified Special Education Teachers who have been licensed by Scientific Learning to implement Fast ForWord® products.
