TECHConnection offers computer and related classes, after school programs, workshops, product demonstrations and more for people of all abilities and ages.

Summer Program: Colleen's Place--LEAP
An inclusive program open to students who can benefit from a learning environment with others having various types of disabilities, as well as typically developing students included as peer role models and volunteers. The program’s goal is to maintain or increase academic and real life skills through functional activities.  Open to those 13 years through young adult. Students will be clustered according to age/ability and have the option of attending any two weeks, or up to all eight weeks to take advantage of the many unique opportunities offered.  Learn more at www.frainc.org...

Assistive Technology Evaluations

Computer Donation Program
We have available to loan (on a permanent basis) computers that have been donated to us by businesses and families for the purpose of this program. These computers are recycled and made available to you upon request. We have both PC and Macintosh platforms, as well as printers and modems. This service is FREE to members of the TECHConnection.  Non-members are asked to donate $20.00.  Have a computer that you'd like to donate??  Please call at 732-747-5310 first. Lending Library
(Funded by The Sunfield Foundation)
"A lending library for people with special needs!" The TECHConnection Lending Library provides an opportunity for families who have a member with special needs to learn about, examine and take home:

  • Educational software and peripherals such as Intellikeys and Touch Windows.
  • Adaptive toys and switches.
  • Communication aids such as Cheap Talk, clock communicators and language boards.
  • Adaptive mobility equipment for children.

The Lending Library is available by appointment only, with weekday and Saturday availability. Call to schedule your appointment!

Become a member of the Library for only $25.00 per year. If you have a TECHConnection membership you will only need to pay $15.00.

Family/Individual Membership
Become a member of the TECHConnection and come to a place with hundreds of adapted devices and software. Explore at your own pace. Learn about devices and software while having an opportunity to try them in a non-commercial environment. Find solutions for you or your child.
Call and make an appointment to come in. This is a time to sit with an Assistive Technology Specialist to review your computer goals, find out what your software and hardware needs are, and determine the appropriate level of software you need.

  • Pre-view hundreds of pieces of software.
  • Try a variety of adapted devices for computer use.
  • Receive quarterly newsletter containing information on resources as well as updates in programs and software.
  • Receive discounts to all of our workshops and trainings. Some free.

Membership Cost: Only $60.00 for the entire family.
